TURKEY SHAMI KEBAB
INGREDIENTS
• 500 gms Turkey, minced
• 3 tsp Papaya paste
• 2 tsp Cumin powder
• 1 tsp Coriander Powder
• 1 tsp Garam masala powder
• 1 Onion, chopped
• 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
• ¼ tsp Black pepper powder
• 2 tbsp Gram flour
• Mint leaves, a handful
• 1 tsp Lemon juice
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Ghee
• Cooking oil, as required for shallow fry
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, mix the minced turkey, lemon juice, papaya paste, ghee and salt and keep aside for 10 minutes.
2. In a blender, add remaining ingredients one by one – onions, ginger garlic paste, gram flour,mint leaves, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and black pepper powder. Blend well with little or no water.
3. Once all these ingredients have been grounded and combined well, add in the minced meat and blend well for a second time to ensure all the ingredients combined into a smooth texture.
4. Transfer the blended ingredients to a container with a lid and refrigerate overnight for 8 hours.This helps the turkey in absorbing all the
flavors of the spices.
5. Take out this turkey mixture from the fridge, and prepare round shaped patties and keep it ready on a plate.
6. Heat a grilled iron pan with some oil to coat the surface. Place the patties and shallow fry on medium to low flame for 10 minutes on each
side. Fry the remaining kebabs too and serve hot.
7. Serve turkey Galouti Kebab along with Dhaniya Pudina Chutney for your party appetizers.
